The Skyboy

Stylish - Beautiful - Proven Performance

Designed in 1992 as a trainer for the German market, this two place, side-by-side warhorse has seen duty in markets around the world. The Skyboy has great flight characteristics; one of the best landing gears in the market (makes bad landings look good), and comfortable seating that has been described by many as a “Lazy Boy in the Sky”!

This venerable airplane has been used in diverse ways: In South Africa, the Skyboy has been used for surveillance by the authorities. In Australia it has been used for professional film and photo shooting (the doors come off easily). And in Mexico it provides sightseeing services for American tourists.

Be it Asia, Africa, Europe or the Americas, by far most Skyboys have been used for pure recreational purposes. It is a joy to fly! Ideal for beginners and fun for experienced pros! The United States is where approximately 100 of these staunch airplanes have been flown primarily for this purpose.

The Skyboy is offered today as a Light Sport Aircraft, certified as an SLSA N numbered airworthied aircraft in the United States. Well equipped and with a Rotax 912 engine, fully assembled, ready to fly, the Skyboy lists for about $60,000 USD.
