     Interplane is Coming to America!

Interplane announced today that a decision has been reached with their owners, to authorize an expansion of production facilities. The new facilities will be located in America and will be large enough to accommodate Interplane’s brand airplanes, the Skyboy and ZJ-Viera as well as production for other Czech based aircraft manufacturers. American made product will serve most of the needs of Interplane’s global market.

Interplane’s decision was based on its long presence in North America by means of the Skyboy, which has sold more than 100 units in that market, as well as wide acceptance of its newest aircraft the ZJ-Viera. Interplane believes that they can provide extraordinary service to their customers by being close to the marketplace. Although the ZJ was introduced in January, it has already developed a large following in the United States in particular.

The locations for the new facilities have not been finalized and Interplane is encouraging interested communities to contact them if they are interested in having Interplane consider them. Contact should be made with Mr. Sylvester Stratton at:  Interplane@hotmail.com

Interplane will continue to design and engineer its products and to produce a limited number of brand aircraft. in Zbraslavice, Czech Republic.

New Performance Enhancing Engineering Option

Interplane's engineering department released an exciting performance enhancing engineering change today, which will result in the ZJ-Viera having a higher glide ratio, lower sink rate, and higher rate of climb! The feature will be offered as an option and amounts to a composite part which fits between the fuselage and wing thereby reducing "drag". It can easily be installed and removed, depending on the pilot's wishes. The ZJ-Viera with feature installed is pictured below.  Click on a picture for larger image:

"The Talk of the Show"

The ZJ-Viera

That's how many admirers of Interplane's ZJ-Viera summed up the crowd's reaction to the USA debut of the innovative new airplanes. LSA America, Interplane's USA distributor displayed the mono wheel and tri wheel versions of the ZJ, with list prices of 19,900 USD (Mono-wheel) and 21,900 USD (Tri-wheel), fully assembled and ready to fly.

Marek Ivanovo, Interplane's CEO, observed that based on global reaction to the airplane, in particular the exceptional support exhibited at the Sebring Air show, Interplane's present production capacity would have to be increased significantly. He indicated that plans were being made to produce 10 per month based on projected demand, from the present three per month. Shortages in the near term were expected as a result of the backlog and would probably become more severe in the months ahead while additional personnel are recruited and trained and tooling developed.

Interplane also produces the Skyboy two seat LSA and provides design and assembly/manufacturing services to other manufacturing companies. Please see InterplaneAircraft.com for additional information about the company.

New Innovative Control Stick Announced

Interplane’s engineering department announces innovative “control stick” designed for the ZJ-Viera by Marek Ivanov. Pictured below, the steering wheel like yoke has cleverly incorporated all controls within the finger tips of the pilot, with the exception of the rudder, which is operated by foot pedals. Ignition switch, starter button, throttle, brake, ailerons, and horizontal stabilizer are all accessed naturally by means of the “control stick”. Ergonomically designed for the comfort and safety of the pilot, the device’s patent is pending.
